Salsa Del Soul: 9 Piece Salsa Band

Event Description
Join us for the kick-off to our "Menomonie Reads" program, a community-wide reading of the book, "In the Time of the Butterflies," by Julia Alvarez. We will be featuring the 9 piece salsa band: Salsa Del Soul at 7:30. Prior to the performance, at 6:30 PM, Dr. Antonio Freeman from UW-EC will discuss "The Dominican Republic and the Order of Trujillo," which ties in with the book. Free copies of Avarez' book will be handed out at the event. A movie made from the book will also be shown at the library on February 9 & 19.
