This is a three day nature festival in beautiful Menomonie and the Chippewa Valley. It will feature more than 30 field trips, lots of outstanding presentations by experts, and unlimited fun! Join Menomonie and Chippewa Valley for the first annual nature festival the Birds, Bugs and Blooms Bash. Friday night June 5th the festival will kick off with keynote speaker Thomas Schultz: "The Art of Field Guide Illustration. If you've ever used a field guide, you know the beautiful pictures and intricate detail that goes into these books, all so you can identify which plant or animal you're looking at. Thomas Schultz has illustrated a number of bird field guides and will shed some light on the creative process behind these helpful works of art.
