About Us

Landmark Conservancy is a non-profit conservation organization serving 20 counties in northwest Wisconsin. Our organization was formed through the merger of two nationally accredited land trusts: West Wisconsin Land Trust, serving Menomonie for over 20 years, and Bayfield Regional Conservancy. Our vision looks to the future of Wisconsin, where we see a landscape with wild and scenic places conserved and accessible for generations to come. At Landmark Conservancy, we work with private landowners to conserve the natural integrity of their land in perpetuity and we work with local municipalities, state, and federal entities to create public preserves and trails for all to enjoy. Public preserves we've helped protect in the Menomonie area include the Devil's Punchbowl, Keil Birch Creek Nature Preserve SNA, Elk Creek Bottoms Preserve, and more!
