MPD is a police department in Menomonie, Wisconsin. They have 30 sworn officers who deal with about 13,000 calls for help each year. These calls can be about serious crimes, smaller offenses, traffic issues, or helping people in different situations.
The department is led by a Chief and two Commanders, along with six Lieutenants, including two who work as detectives. They also have 18 Patrol Officers and four specialized positions. These specialized roles include a Narcotics Investigator who works with the West Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force, Youth Services Officers who help young people in the community, and a Behavioral Health Officer who supports people dealing with mental health issues.
MPD has seven civilian support personnel that focus on areas of records, court coordinating, and general administrative duties.
