Heart disease is the number one cause of death in Wisconsin. Eating right, exercising and not smoking are all things you can do to lower the risk of heart disease, but do you know your personal risk? You can learn about your own risk factors at the Mayo Clinic Heart and Vascular Wellness Screening event on Saturday, June 12.
Mayo Clinic and Red Cedar Medical Center staff will perform six noninvasive tests as well as provide you with personalized education on ways to modify your lifestyle to lower your risk. 
Cardiovascular Health Questionnaire: A detailed set of questions will help personnel understand your test results in the context of your life. 
Blood pressure 
Body mass index
Lipid profile (measures cholesterol) and glucose (measures blood sugar)
Ankle Brachial Index (can indicate decreased circulation)
Carotid Ultrasound (examines the structure of and signs of plaque in your carotid arteries)
Abdominal Aortic Ultrasound (screens for an aneurysm, or ballooning outward, of your aortic artery)
