Holiday Chroal Concert at UW-Stout

The University of Wisconsin-Stout Symphonic Singers and the Vocal Jazz Ensemble will present their annual Holiday Choral Concert at 7 p.m., at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Menomonie Sunday, Dec. 7. Patrick Liebergen will direct the choirs.

 The Symphonic Singers will begin the concert with the Gregorian Chant “Adoro Te Devote” and Liebergen’s “Christmas Classic Celebration,” accompanied by the Cedar Valley Brass and accompanist Karen Wilber. The guest brass ensemble will also be featured in the choir’s performance of Daniel Pinkham’s “Christmas Cantata.”  The choir will perform Norman Lufboff’s “Still, Still, Still” and Fred Bock’s “Peace, Peace,” accompanied by Ashley Webb on harp and Grace Kennedy on flute. Lacey Seefeldt will be the featured soloist when the choir sings “Nella Fantasia,” arranged by Audrey Snyder.

 Jonathan Sollie, Cassandra Smith and Matthew Wakeling will be the soloists in the Vocal Jazz Ensemble’s performance of a variety of holiday arrangements.  Selections will include “White Christmas,”  “Jingle Bells” and “Grown-Up Christmas List.”

 The Symphonic Singers will conclude the concert by singing G. F. Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus.”
