Summer Theater Camp “Honk Jr.”

Monday-Friday, July 6-24 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

$125 per child for three weeks

Performances July 24 at 7:00 p.m. and July 25 at 1:00 pm. & 4:00 pm.

$10 Adults; $8 Senior/Student; $6 Children 12 years & younger

The Mabel Tainter Summer Theater Camp for children ages 6 through 17 will be producing the Broadway version of “Honk Jr.” during the three week summer theater camp sponsored by the Menomonie Theater Guild (MTG) and Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts. Under the direction of Menomonie Theater Guild veteran director and performer Blaine Halverson, the theater camp exposes children to all aspects of musical theater from choreography to set construction. Three weeks in theater time is not a long time; you have script and song memorization as well as staging and costumes but the kids put all their heart into it for six hours a day Monday through Friday and in the end they have a great show!
