Take Back The Night

Stout students in collaboration with the Campus Violence Prevention Program and The Bridge to Hope will be holding an international event to increase awareness of sexual assault.  Take Back the Night originated in 1877 to protest sexual violence women encountered while walking on the streets alone.  Since then, this event has become worldwide, starting in the United States in Philadelphia, PA in 1975.  At the event there will be speakers, a musical performance, open mic, a candle-light vigil, and resources on sexual violence.
