The Fascinating American Kestrel

Join Beaver Creek Reserve volunteer and bird bander, Alice Droske, as she presents a slide presentation on American kestrels, the smallest falcon in North America. Reserve has had a kestrel nest box program since 2002. Currently 30 nest boxes are monitored by Alice and BCR volunteers Joe Palzkill and Judy Schwarzmeier. The slide presentation and discussion will provide information on the natural history, behavior, habitat and nest box requirements for kestrels. Learn about this remarkable falcon!
