What?s that Tree?

How can you tell a hard maple from a soft one? Are popple, poplar, and aspen the same tree? Is there a difference between a red pine and a Norway pine? BCR naturalist Jim Schwiebert will answer these and other tree questions as you take a short hike around the Reserve to look at the unique characteristics of these and other tree species and learn some easy ways to remember how to identify them. A simple key to tree identification will be provided for participants to take home! Full payment required at registration until June 5.
