Worm Watch Workshop

Did you know that earthworms are NOT native to the Midwest? That bait on your hook is the great-great-great-grandchild of a worm that immigrated to the US a long time ago! Learn how our exotic earthworm friends got here, how to identify them, and how to entice them from their underground lairs! This workshop will also teach you how to enter your worm observations into the WI NatureMapping database where the data will be used by Worm researcher Dr. Cindy Hale of the Great Lakes Worm Watch and University of Minnesota-Duluth. This program is long one and may be too long for young children. Older children should be accompanied by an adult. Registration required until September 15.
