Anonymous donors commit more than $10 million to CVTC

Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) announced today that anonymous longtime supporters have committed a legacy gift expected to exceed $10 million, designating all their belongings to the College through the CVTC Foundation, Inc., upon their passing.

The planned gift was first revealed during the CVTC Foundation Gala on Thursday, Feb. 26, and represents one of the most significant legacy commitments in the College’s history.

In a video shared at the event, the donors reflected on their decision, stating, “We’re going to give all of our belongings to the Chippewa Valley Technical College.”

Over the course of their lives, the donors accumulated meaningful personal items and experiences, including time spent living abroad. “We collected all this wonderful furniture and the books and had just the most wonderful life,” they shared.

The donors chose to remain anonymous, emphasizing the impact of the gift rather than personal recognition.

“At Chippewa Valley Technical College, we are deeply grateful for the generosity of those who believe in the power of education and the potential of our students,” said Adam Wehling, CVTC Foundation executive director. “Giving can come in many forms, and legacy or planned gifts allow donors to make an impact that lasts for generations. Through a planned gift totaling more than $10 million, these anonymous supporters have chosen to invest in CVTC’s future.”

Legacy gifts play a vital role in sustaining access to education and strengthening the region’s workforce by ensuring long-term support for students and programs at CVTC.

“We are incredibly thankful for supporters like these who have made a transformative commitment to CVTC and our students,” Wehling added. “Their generosity will remove barriers, open doors, and create opportunities for generations of learners. Planned giving is one way to leave a lasting impact, and anonymity is always an option for those who prefer to give quietly.”
