Royal Credit Union Celebrates International Credit Union Day and the Steady Signal of Cooperative Finance 

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Royal Credit Union (Royal) is joining credit unions around the world in celebrating International Credit Union Day® on October 15, 2026, honoring the trusted role credit unions play in helping people navigate financial decisions with clarity, confidence, and connection. This year’s theme, “Cooperative Finance: A Steady Signal in a Noisy World,” highlights how credit unions provide personalized service, community-focused support, and a people-first approach in an increasingly complex financial landscape. 

From October 1 to October 15, Members and community members may visit Royal offices once per day to enter for a chance to win prizes including a JBL Flip 7 Speaker, Beats Studio Pro Headphones, a Victrola Eastwood Signature Record Player, and a $200 Visa® Prepaid Gift Card. Winners will be selected on or around October 16. 

In addition to the giveaways, Royal offices will offer complimentary coloring pages and candy while supplies last throughout the celebration period. On International Credit Union Day, October 15, guests will receive a sticker while supplies last.

Observed annually on the third Thursday of October, International Credit Union Day celebrates the achievements of credit unions around the globe. The celebration is led by the World Council of Credit Unions, a global trade association and development platform for credit unions and other financial cooperatives. Credit unions serve more than 400 million people worldwide and are united by a mission to improve financial well-being through cooperative finance and community-focused service.
