Adopt-A-Maple Tree

The maple syrup season is short but sweet. After sampling some of last year?s syrup on their French toast, families are invited tap their own tree. We will start with a short program to learn the basics of making maple syrup and how to identify a maple tree. Each family group will decorate a tree marker with their own unique design to leave on their tree after tapping. The markers are designed to help families find their tree again; as we strongly encourage participants to come back during the sap run and see how their tree is doing. Participants will also get a chance to visit the sugar shack where the syrup is made. After the season is complete, families and groups will be able to stop back at the Reserve and pick-up their own 8 oz. bottle of syrup made with sap from their tree and their photo of their tapping adventure.
