Birding State Natural Areas Training

In conjunction with the Citizen Science Festival The Citizen Science Center has a new project this year called ?Assessing Avian Management on State Natural Areas?. We will be seeking key focal species in the Coon Fork Barrens, South Fork Barrens, and Five Mile Bluff State Natural Areas. Focal species include cerulean warbler, worm-eating warbler, lark sparrow, and Acadian flycatcher to name a few. Learn how to identify these focal species and take part in surveys to determine the management success of these species on state natural areas. This is a great opportunity to spend time ?in the field? with other birders learning the local birds.
