Join us for the 34th Annual Leader-Telegram Buckshot Run benefiting the local Special Olympics program. This 2 and 5 mile run/walk in and around beautiful Carson Park and downtown Eau Claire is ranked one of the top 10 races in Wisconsin. It's family friendly yet tough enough for the hard-core competitors. Ages 5-85 typically participate each year and average attendance is 1,200 people. We need to grow so we can do more for Special Olympics athletes living in the Chippewa Valley! Help us by inviting a family member or friend to join you! 100% of money raised stays locally to help 1,000 Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities train and compete in sports year-round. It?s a life changing opportunity for these kids and adults. After the race, enjoy concessions, music, race results and an awards ceremony during the Party in the Park. Check in begins at 7:30 a.m., the 5 mile starts at 9 a.m., the 2 mile starts at 10:30 a.m., the Kids? Fun Run begins at 11:30 a.m. and awards are at Noon. Prices vary depending on date of registration. For those who can?t attend Saturday, join us for the smaller 2 mile version on Tuesday, August 30, 6 p.m. Volunteers also needed. Contact Karen if you can help a few hours at either race. kkraus@specialolympicswisconsin.org
