North Star Bicycle Festival & Race and Menomonie Grand Fondo

Back for the 4th year, the 2014 North Star Bicycle Festival and Gran Fondo Races return to Menomonie on June 14th, 2014. This is an exciting event for the City of Menomonie, Dunn County and West Central Wisconsin. The men?s road race consists of 101 miles, marked by rolling hills and long climb, while the women will cover a 76 mile course that follows the same beginning and ending roadways. Spectators are urged to check out the various community rides for all levels as well as the Menomonie Gran Fondo that follows the challenging road race course for more experienced cyclists including amateur criterium racing in the early afternoon. Stick around after the races are over because Mainstreet Menomonie is hosting SummerDaze, a local family, food and craft festival downtown offering even more family fun activities to enjoy Friday evening and Saturday. Offering entertainment after the Pros finish there will be live music and a ribfest, bean bag tournament, kids bicycle races, wiener dog races, and a beverage tent.
