University Choirs Sings of American Immigration Story

The University of Wisconsin-Stout Symphonic Singers & Chamber Choir, conducted by Dr. Jerry Hui and accompanied by pianist Michaela Gifford, will present their concert on Saturday, April 16th, at 4:00pm, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. The program, titled "Americana: Our Stories in Songs?, features music by Billings, Copland, Dawson, Hogan, Krenek, Szymko, and more.The music selection presents the history of America from the angle of immigration, and how newcomers shape our culture. Tickets are available for $5.00 at the UW-Stout Service Center in the Memorial Student Center (715)232-1122, on the web at tickets.uwstout.edu and at the door.
