We will be joined by Sandia Kosmo (Eau Claire native), author of Wakanda Whooper, The Curious Cinnamon Crane. The event begins at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 11th, 2016, at the Russell J. Rassbach Heritage Museum. The event is free and open to the public; museum admission is not included. Wakanda Whooper (Purple Dragonfly Book Award first place winner in 2016) is a magnificently illustrated story of one whooping crane, Wakanda, who, through her curiosity and questions to her parents, shares the story of an incredible species being saved by caring biologists. This delightful, educational children’s chapter book takes place in central Wisconsin’s Necedah National Wildlife Refuge. Included in the 72-page book are many full-page illustrations, multiple hands-on activities, a glossary, and crane trivia pages. This is a perfect gift for the Holidays. Kosmo will speak in detail about her children’s book and have them to sell and sign for all in attendance.
