The Dunn County Information Technology Department is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Computer Technician Intern for Summer 2025. This hands-on internship is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in IT support, hardware configuration, and VoIP Technology.
This is 20 hours per week, with the anticipated work schedule:
Monday - Thursday 9am - 2pm or Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9-4pm.
This is a seasonal internship that pays $15.00 per hour. No benefits are offered.

Primary Responsibilities
- Image and configure new desktop and laptop computers for end users
- Deploy new desk phones and assist with basic VoIP setup
- Organize and manage IT hardware inventory
- Assist with workstation setups, relocations, and cable management
- Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware and peripheral devices
- Deliver and install equipment at County offices and departments
- Document equipment deployment and updates in the asset management system
- Provide friendly and professional support to County employees
- Assist IT staff with other technical projects and tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college-level IT or computer science program preferred)
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows OS, and networking fundamentals
- Comfortable using hand tools and lifting/moving computer equipment (up to 40 lbs)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to County buildings if needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience imaging computers using tools like MDT, SCCM, or Clonezilla
- Familiarity with VoIP phone systems
- Prior experience in a help desk or IT support setting

- Work regularly requires sitting, frequently requires standing, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and repetitive motions and occasionally requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and reaching with hands and arms.
- Work has standard vision requirements.
- Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
- Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.
- Work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and observing general surroundings and activities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
- Work occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
