POSITION – Safety Director
JOB LOCATION – Eau Claire, Wisconsin
STARTING DATE – ASAP
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-hire or Direct Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm)
STARTING PAY – $30-$35/hour DOE
REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma or equivalent required, advanced degree preferred, or equivalent, relevant work history
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Prior success and experience in an Environmental Safety position

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Safety Director to lead and oversee our company’s safety programs and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will ensure workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and effective training programs across all job sites.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain OSHA and MSHA compliance, including required training, logs, and reporting.
Complete and submit documentation for third-party pre-qualifications such as ISN, Avetta, Veriforce, GRMS, and Appruv on a monthly basis.
- Training and Development:
Conduct new hire safety training and ensure all employees are properly trained.
Develop and maintain training records.
Serve as a "Train the Trainer" resource for ongoing education.
- Site Inspections and Incident Management:
Perform regular job site inspections to ensure safety protocols are followed.
Manage workers’ compensation cases and reportable incidents.
Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate documentation and records for audits and inspections.
Provide reports and updates to senior management on safety performance and compliance.
 
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Safety Director or similar role in construction or industrial environments.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations and reporting requirements.
Proficiency with third-party pre-qualification systems (ISN, Avetta, Veriforce, GRMS, Appruv).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to lead training programs and conduct site inspections effectively.
Familiarity with workers’ compensation processes and incident reporting.
"Train the Trainer" certification or equivalent experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other reporting tools.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
